ERiders LLC built the Moon Scooters app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by ERiders LLC and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
Moon Fleet recovery partners
This policy also covers Moon Fleet, our recovery partner app. We collect application and account details such as name, email and phone number; recovery assignments, notes and messages; pickup and return photos and location evidence; payout and identity-verification status; and device, usage and diagnostic information needed to operate and improve the service. Stripe processes identity verification and payout onboarding. Supabase provides account, database and file services, Expo supports app updates and notifications, and Sentry helps diagnose app failures.
Moon Fleet uses location while you use the app to find work and record pickup and return evidence. It does not request background location access. Bluetooth identifies and controls an assigned scooter when you choose those tools. Approved workers may view the assigned customer’s contact details, conversation history, available identity photos and scooter-location history to coordinate an authorized recovery. Access is limited by worker authorization and the active recovery. Do not retain or use customer information for unrelated purposes.
Moon Fleet does not use this information for advertising tracking. We retain information needed to operate accounts, complete recoveries and payouts, address disputes, and meet legal, financial or security obligations. You may request deletion in Moon Fleet under Account → Delete account, or through the deletion page below. We process deletion requests within 30 days and explain any information that must be retained. The app’s clearly labeled sample recovery uses fictional work and payment data.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
- Email address (for account management)
- Location data (for scooter tracking and navigation)
- Camera access (for scanning QR codes and taking verification photos)
- Identity verification data (processed securely via Stripe Identity)
Location Data
Our app collects location data to enable scooter tracking, navigation to pickup points, and to verify you are within service areas even when the app is closed or not in use, if you are actively renting a vehicle.
Camera Usage
We use your device’s camera to:
- Scan QR codes on scooters to initiate rentals
- Take photos of the scooter condition before and after rentals
- Scan ID documents for identity verification
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your data. You can initiate this request by visiting moonscooters.com/delete-account, using Moon Fleet’s Account → Delete account screen, or emailing support@moonscooters.com.
